What are health insurance exchanges?
Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), the way in which some individuals and employers will access health insurance plans is through public health insurance exchanges—marketplaces where people can compare health plans and purchase policies. Public exchanges are those run and funded by the federal government or states and created by PPACA. Private exchanges are run by non-governmental or non-for-profit entities and service different market segments.

How does the Marketplace differ from other exchanges?
We've created a private exchange with brokers in mind! It is the first-of-its-kind marketplace for our brokers to continue doing business and differentiate themselves to their clients. Your customers will get personalized service, unlike the more "you're on your own" exchanges provided by competitors. Our platform is user-friendly with an eye on health literacy: we want people to understand their benefits.

How can the Solstice Marketplace help me with my business?
With our easy-to-use portal, you can upload and manage your clients' information—as well as that of your carriers and plans—in one place. You can stay organized, which will cut down on admin tasks and free up your time for selling, networking and servicing customers. Clients will need your help during open enrollment, and our exchange can assist you with guiding them through every step. You also can brand it as you'd like with your own look and feel!

What fees are associated with the Marketplace?
Brokers pay a one-time registration fee when signing up for the Marketplace. There's a per subscriber, per month fee as well. You can request a quote for this fee or call the Solstice Marketplace directly.
